Yes, it really is true -- at least on some older motherboards, unplugging a PS/2 device while powered will occasionally at least semi-permanently break the motherboard, such as blowing a special fuse. -69.87.204.161 01:03, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Really? I've done it dozens of times and never ever had a single computer fail because of that. I have also plugged mice in the keyboard plug, and the other way around, and I'd swear they worked, but I'm not sure on that one. — isilanes (talk|contribs) 09:45, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
