[edit] Class K5 Pacific Locomotives

According to the Works list I have (compiled by Mr Fisher in late 1940´s), PRR Altoona Machine Shops ceased to built steam locomotives in 1904. Last locomotive built was Altoona Machine Shops or shortly AMS with Works number 2289 / 1904 PRR class B-4a Nr.1425. After closing the AMS the PRR concentrated its all own steam locomotive production to Juniata Works. Thus, PRR was built actually at Juniata Works with works number 4205 / 1929 but having works plate Altoona Works 4205 / 1929. This detail is added by hand writing to the Juniata Works list. The same for the Juniata Works numbers 4195 - 4215. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.114.205.238 (talk) 05:09, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
