[edit] Dientamoeba fragilis and Blastocystis
Any objections to adding Dientamoeba fragilis and Blastocystis? DF is accepted as a pathogen in most countries. Blastocystis has entries in DiseaseDB and MESH codes, plenty of clinical literature. Gastro guy 05:17, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- In most cases on Wikipedia, articles for the infectious agent are separated from the disease. Is "Blastocystosis" the appropriate name for the medical condition caused by Blastocystis? If so, could we split it out? --Arcadian 12:12, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. And there is even Dientamoebiasis. Would it be a good idea to move the medical info out of the Blastocystis into Blastocystosis, leaving Blastocystis with the advanced microbiology? I'm going to re-work the DF entry as well, as it's a little thin. Gastro guy 02:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that would be a good idea if you could do that split, and put a Taxobox at the top of the Blastocystis article. --Arcadian 11:40, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- All done. I'll see if I can get a photo of Dientamoeba fragilis. Gastro guy 05:44, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
