"Amtrak's Providence Station was built in 1988 to replace Union Station, the five large brick structures built by the New Haven Railroad in 1892 to replace the fire damaged original 1848 brick Union Station built by the Providence & Worcester, Providence & Stonington, and Boston & Providence Railroads."

- What's the what? It's a hell of a run-on sentence, but it does explain the history of railroad stations in downtown Providence: an 1848 one that was damaged by fire, the 1892 one that replaced it, and the present one. DMacks 15:43, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Image:Mbta-logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. [edit] Providence AMTRAK station to Kennedy Plaza bus terminal.
http://www.ripta.com/schedules/view.php. Use this link for bus schedules.. The Providence Bus Terminal (Kennedy Plaza) is a short walk. Leave the station through the city side door and go down the hill. For buses go out the State House door to the bus stop. Bus stops are all marked and there is a building with a waiting room, an information clerk and schedules. For the Providence airport take bus No. 14, West Bay outbound. Fares are exact change.
