Talk:ProjectExplorer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reposting the page after a significant rewrite. This film series has several unique segments, and has garnered international attention in several publications. As such, the focus is on the content provided, as in a television series or radio program, instead of the company itself.
In particular, the cultural and artistic aspects of the series provides information and performances that are not publicly available in other places. For example, ProjectExplorer captured a lesiba player on film, which was a key reference to that wiki article. The instrument and music segment filmed in South Africa records historical instruments and performances that are vital to the country's living history.
Further content and detail will be added to enhance the article as additional information is published.

[edit] "Apartheid Museum" trademark notice
The following notice was posted on this page in a recent edit:
- ALERT: The above statement about John Kani as Founder of the Apartheid Museum may be innocent but it is factually incorrect. Alternatively it deliberately peddles yet another conflicting version of how Gold Reef Casino came upon this Registered Trademark, which belongs to Mike Stainbank. Kani's principals, Abraham and Solomon Krok,(aka Abe and Solly) have made this questionable claim entirely for themselves: Co-Founders of The Apartheid Museum. They make no mention of John Kani even though their patronage has made him Chairperson of this structure. Kani and the twin brothers Abe and Solly Krok have had five opportunities to tell South African Courts about their publicized roles as "Founders". South African Courts require sworn affidavits that if proved false may open a person to a criminal charge of perjury and/or alternatively defeating the ends of justice. All three have chosen to pass on the opportunity. For further information see matter submitted to Constitutional Court of South Africa. [5]
While the ongoing controversy may be relevant to the museum itself, in the interest of keeping this article on topic I have changed Dr. Kani's title to "Chairperson" to reflect his current day-to-day position. Dr. Kani does, in fact, introduce and consider himself the Founder, ongoing legal proceedings notwithstanding, but this article is very little about him, and mentions him only as a contributor to the film series.
Those wishing to discuss or document this controversy should do so on the article / talk page for the Apartheid Museum directly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattboggie (talk • contribs) 17:28, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
