regarding the brief information segment of the mosquito's "probscis"; What is this appendage made of that allows it to be rigid enough to penetrate skin layers while the insect is living, & immediatley becomes soft (almost bendable) upon death of the insect?? 209.226.250.106 (talk) 14:29, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
