Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center was founded in 1943 by the Sisters of Providence[1]

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center recently opened a new building, called the Northeast building. It includes a laboratory, imaging department, surgery wing, intensive care unit, obstetrics and neonatal intensive care unit, GI lab, cardiac catheterization lab, and 128 private patient rooms.

This hospital is across the street from Walt Disney Studios. Walt Disney died in this hospital from lung cancer caused by smoking in 1966. John Ritter died in the hospital on 11 september, 2003 as well.
