The Proton Arena (or Proton Jumbuck in the UK and Australia) is a small front wheel drive coupe utility made by Proton. It is designed similar to Proton's Wira/Persona sedan. Being a commercial variant, it has a leaf sprung rear suspension and ventilated disc/drum brakes with load sensing proportioning valves. Powered by the 1.5 litre engine used in the car it was based on, the engine offers a respectable fuel consumption rating (5.8L/100km on the highway and 8.5L/100km in the city) but struggles a lot when heavy loads are carried in the back. Its payload is 570 kg (1257 lb).

The car is mostly an exporter (UK, Australia and South Africa). It is not a staple of the local Malaysian market. Australia is its biggest buyer where its nearest competitor sells for approximately $8,000 AUD more.
