Property investment club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A property investment club is an organisation which is designed to sell real estate (usually newly built) in bulk to its members. These organisations have become commonplace in recent years, and often have dubious reputations.
Members pay an annual fee and in return receive "leads" directly, enabling them to purchase property at a supposedly discounted price. The organisation often also charges a finders fee on each individual transaction.
The organisation "sells itself" to the general public by organising seminars and sending out direct mailings inviting people to attend these. The seminars then "teach" attendees about a methodology to become wealthy via property investment. At the end of the seminar, attendees are encouraged to sign up giving their credit card details to pay the annual membership fee there and then.
