Property Research Partners LLC is a company formed in 2004 in New York State.[1] Under this, the website PropertyShark.com[1] provides information on at least 20 million properties in 15 major markets. The information and tools on the site are made available to visitors by their completing an online registration.[2] Users can log on to find a multitude of public property data made available by this company's site. Here is a recent quote from an article in the NY Times: "Arpad Baksa, an architect who has advised many co-ops and who has done dozens of rooftop additions, said that the Web site PropertyShark.com could give you a good idea whether your building has any buildable space."[3]
PropertyShark is also putting out statistical reports based on data mining of their archives derived from public records.[4]
Traditional real estate brokerage is, at the same time, being aided by and out-sourced by website companies like PropertyShark.com.[5]
