Project NOAH
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Project NOAH (New Orleans Area Hope) is an opportunity for teens aged fourteen and older to establish relationships with residents affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and participate in the repair and restoration of their homes in the Northshore Area.
It is the aim of this program to help families rebuild their lives and to foster a sense of social awareness and concern in youth; the program is designed to stimulate growth in both populations of people. It is our hope that families and youth will interact in a cross-cultural setting and feel encouraged to build new relationships across generations, among people of other racial groups, and with those of different faith traditions.
