Project Bioshield Act

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Project Bioshield Act was an act passed by the United States Congress in 2004 calling for the donation of over $5 billion for purchasing vaccines that would be used in the event of a bioterrorist attack.

The act explicitly gave pharmaceutical companies immunity from being sued in the event of a vaccination gone wrong, even if it is a federally-mandated vaccination, and even if the pharmaceutical company engages in fraud.[citation needed]
