Project ALERT

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Project ALERT is an anti-smoking, anti-alcohol, and anti-drug unit that is used in both middle school and high school. It has recently been updated. It includes a DVD which has a list of short movies about introducing drugs such as Marijuana, Alcohol, PCP, and many more. The DVD also includes scenarios which show children being faced with drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. Some of these children do give in to pressure, both internal and external, but most of the children reject the drugs. Project ALERT teaches children about the consequences of using drugs, and they provide drug statistics on their page.
