ProgDVB is a freeware / shareware software used to watch digital TV channels and listen to radio on computers. It supports DVB-S (satellite), DVB-S2, DVB-C (cable), DVB-T (terrestrial) and IPTV sources.
Internet polls show that ProgDVB is the most popular program used to watch DVB TV. [1] [2]
[edit] Editions
There are two editions of ProgDVB available, a freeware edition and a shareware one. The advantages of the shareware edition over the freeware edition includes:
- stability enhancements
- built-in Elecard muxer to insure operability in video editors
- better support for the NTSC format
- Ability to watch AVC/H.264 channels
Stating with version 5.x which is still in beta testing, ProgDVB started using the .NET Framework for its GUI.
