Cubic chess is a one of newest chess variants. Best known chess variants with a factor of back turning captured units to the board are Chessgi and Hostage Chess, in which the captured units after changing his color or after changing the units with a same value are reentered on any vacant square of the board. This game can be played with two classic chess sets. In the Cubic chess are the traditional men substituted by the cubes. They have on each side respectively one symbol of the unit: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight and Pawn. The symbol uppermost determines a value of the cube. Eliminated is a promotion of the Pawn reached the last rank an a capture e.p..The captured units (except the Pawns) are put to the stock next a board. A player can instead a moving to other square change any Pawn on the board to any captured unit in the stock,that is immediately removed from it.The rules are published in Encyclopedia of Chess Variants (2-th edition, 2006).
