According to [1] PP. stands for papa. Additionally, could someone back up the claim that princeps pastorum is a honorific title by some sources. Thank you. 85.124.42.235 09:31, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The usage PP applies to the pope but the literal meaning is pastor pastorum. Catholic Encyclopedia:Pope patsw 19:02, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
