The Prix La Force is a Group 3 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 2,000 metres (approximately 1¼ miles) at Longchamp Racecourse and takes place annually in April or May.
It was first run in 1910 and was named in memory of the Duc de La Force, Bertrand Nompar de Caumont, a leading figure in French racing who died the previous year. For many years the race was open to older horses, until it was restricted to three-year-olds from 1950, when it became a trial race for the Prix du Jockey Club.
The distance of the race in 1950 was 2,000 metres, which was modified several times before a more sustained period at this distance began in 1966. This was increased to 2,400 metres in 1997, returning to its former distance in 2001. In recent years the race has regularly taken place away from Longchamp, and was held at Chantilly in 1995, 2001 and 2002, Deauville in 1996 and Saint-Cloud in 2003 and 2004.
