Princess Marie of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen

Marie Luise Alexandrine Karoline (Sigmaringen, November 17, 1845 - Brussels, November 26, 1912) was a Princess of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, and mother of King Albert I of Belgium.

Marie Luise was a daughter of Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, Prime minister of Prussia and Princess Josephine of Baden.
She married on April 25, 1867 in Berlin with Prince Philippe, Count of Flanders, second son of King Leopold I of Belgium and Louise-Marie of Orléans.
They had 5 children :
- Prince Baudouin of Belgium (1869-1891)
- Princess Henriette, Duchess of Vendôme and Alençon (twin) (1870-1948)
- Princess Josephine Marie of Belgium (twin) (1870-1871)
- Princess Josephine Caroline of Belgium (1872-1958)
- Albert I (1875-1934), third King of the Belgians.
Marie Luise died in Belgium at the age of 67. She was buried in the Church of Our Lady in Laken.
