Princess Magdalena Augusta of Anhalt-Zerbst

Magdalena Augusta (October 13, 1679 - October 11, 1740) was a Duchess of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and grandmother of George III of England.

She was born as a Princess of Anhalt-Zerbst. Her father was Karl of Anhalt-Zerbst and her mother was Sophia of Saxe-Weissenfels.

In 1696 Magdalena Augusta married Frederick II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, who had become Duke in 1691.
