Prince Sports, Inc. is an American manufacturer of equipment for racquet sports.
Based in Bordentown, New Jersey, Prince Sports manufactures tennis, badminton, and squash equipment. Its trademarks include Prince (tennis, squash and badminton), Ektelon (racquetball) and Viking (platform/paddle tennis). The company has produced the first "oversize" and "longbody" racquets[citation needed], the first "Natural Foot Shape" tennis shoe[citation needed], the first "synthetic gut" string[citation needed] and the first electronic ball machine[citation needed]. Prince markets technologies in racquets (O3), string (Recoil), footwear (Precision Tube Technology) and apparel (Aerotech).
The company was started in 1970 as a manufacturer of tennis ball machines, and went on to manufacture racquets.
