Prince Baran is a Marvel Comics character.

[edit] Fictional character biography

He was the Prince and absolute ruler of Madripoor. His personal home is extravegent, including rarities such as a tentacled monster in the garden pond. While not actually a supervillain, he was sometimes on the "bad side". He is seen on "Wolverine" #6 and #7, confronting the trio of Logan, Karma and Archie Corrigan. Nguyen Ngoc Coy, Karma's uncle and Baran's man, is involved in the fight. Baran also allows the villans Roughhouse and Bloodscream to work for him.

Later Baran makes a deal with the villan Geist.[1]

At one time, he employs the private eye Jessica Drew as a spy. She is told to keep an eye on several people, including Patch. Eventually, when Wolverine finds out that the Prince had made a deal with Geist, he humiliates him in front of many of his subjects.

Baran and Coy later conspire to have Wolverine framed for murder. They have Archie Corrigan and several of his friends murdered with what seems like Logan's claws. Coy and Baran are slain soon after.
