[edit] Revision of Map
It has been a while since I have visited Wikipedia, and it seems that during this time, someone has revised this character map. They added an "attracted to" line between Colonel Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth. Now, I know that these two hit it off in the book, but is there any evidence to show that these people were actually interested in each other? One concern is that I might be able to see that Colonel Fitzwilliam was attracted to Elizabeth, but I can't recall it happening vice versa, at leact concretely. But my main concern is clarity. There isnt every single character in the book on the map, and neither is there every possible connection. Is this added connection significant? Canadian Joeldude 07:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
i noticed this as well but i have read it recently and it may not say that elizabeth was attracted to Colonel Fitzwilliam but in chapter 34 the someone knocks on the door and she gets a flutter thinking it was colonel fitzwilliam comin to see her in particualr. but of course its acually Mr Darcy coming to propose.Colonel F. may not be handsome but she is attracted to his personality at least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.203.12.240 (talk) 14:02, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edward(?) Gardiner
Can anyone confirm that Mr Gardiner's first name is indeed Edward? I was under the impression that only the first three letters of his first name are revealed in the original novel – in a letter to Mr Bennet, Mr Gardiner signs himself "EDW. GARDINER". EDW doesn't necessarily have to be "Edward", you know. How are we to be sure it's not, say, "Edwin" instead? Jane Fairfax 18:02, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I searched the Gutenberg version, and there's no "Edward", just "Edw." so it should be changed. 156.34.22.126 (talk) 11:57, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
