[edit] Premises and axioms

Are "premise" and "axiom" synonyms? Pgr94 10:34, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair question, which hopefully my edits just now clarify. Vaughan Pratt 15:46, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Pgr94 15:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Premise in discourse moved to a new page?

I propose to move the text about a premise in discourse or informal logic to a new page. There is a lot of information there and more can be added. This new page could be called something like Premise (logic) or just called "Premise" and the rest of the entries moved to Premise (disambiguation). What do people think? I thought it was a good idea. Done. Pontiff Greg Bard (talk) 01:39, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
