Church Presentation of Virgin Mary is the most valuable historical building of České Budějovice. It was founded with the city and monastery in 1265 and is located on Piaristic square. Initial construction was completed around 1300. It is a monumental gothic building with baroque and rococo additions and unique medieval fresco paintings. Although no monks remain at the monastery, mass is celebrated on Wednesday and Sunday. From May to Octobor the church is open to the public (from 10 to 17).
