In the Premier League, the FA Premier League Manager of the Year Award is annual award given to a manager who is recognised for their overall contribution to the achievements of a specific team. The award has been given out since the sponsorship of the Carling Premier League in 1993. There has only been one occasion on which the award was not given to the manager who won the Premier League title - George Burley of Ipswich Town in the 2000-01 season.
