First of all, this category should be Category:English Premiership players.

Second, we already have categories like Category:Liverpool F.C. players. This category would be humongous (thousands of people, conservatively), so I think we should just link to all of the individual teams' categories. I think it's more useful to illustrate which team a player played for rather than the level. – ugen64 23:08, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

There isn't a lot wrong with keeping it alongside the 'player for (club)' categories. I've been working on adding players who already play/have played in the premier league and will continue to do so. The category should be standard amongst premier league player articles so that if and when new entrees appear, they will be added. Mark272 19:57, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] club players/premier league players

Should players be included in club player lists if they have never played a first team game for that club, or is it enough to have just signed up for that particular club? Benjy613 22:41, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I think they should have played at least a second of Premiership football, so that leaves a few odd players that shouldn't be in this category, but will probably end up being in it soon anyway. (i.e. new signings) Mark272 13:30, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
