Prathap is an Indian term/name given to an individual or used for reference.
This term Prathap was taken from ancient texts like the vedas (ancient Hindu scriptures) which stands for the meaning " spreading" of Knowledge, light, fame, power, influence. Many people in India give this as a name to their first sons[citation needed]
