Prairie Knolls Middle School, is a public middle school located in Elgin, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Central Community Unit School District 301.
The school was opened in 2007 to grades 6-8. Opening Prairie Knolls Middle School alleviated crowding at District 301's other middle school, Central Middle School, and saved the district roughly $186,900 in 2007 -- money it is not spending on the six mobile classrooms and their traffic barrier at Central Middle.
