Prafulla Chandra Ghosh

Dr. Prafulla Chandra Ghosh (Bengali: প্রফুল্ল চন্দ্র ঘোষ Profullo Chôndro Ghosh) (1891-1983) was the first Chief Minister of West Bengal, India. A member of the Indian National Congress, he served as Chief Minister from August 15, 1947 to August 14, 1948, from November 2, 1967 to February 20, 1968 as part of the Indian National Congress, and from April 2, 1971 to June 28, 1971 as part of the Progressive Democratic Alliance Front.
