PowerShift07 was a Climate Change conference held November 2, 2007 to November 5, 2007 in College Park, Maryland at the University of Maryland campus and in Washington, D.C. The event included key note addresses by over 20 activists, politicians and musical acts, over 75 panels and over 283 workshops with speakers from around the United States and the world. Over 6000 youth leaders, activists and students attended the conference, with 3000 of them attending the Lobby Day and rally on November 5, 2007. The conference culminated in a hearing with the House Select Committee on Global warming and Energy Independence,[1][2] chaired by Ed Markey (D-MA)[3] and the attendants representing over 300 congressional districts in meetings with their legislators regarding the future of our planet.
