This article is a comprehensive listing of all official releases by Powderfinger, an Australian rock group. Powderfinger have released six studio albums, twenty-four singles, four extended plays, three live albums, one "best of" album and four video releases.
Shortly after the independent release of their debut self-titled EP in 1993, Powderfinger signed on to a major record label to release their second EP,[1] Transfusion, and in 1994, they released their debut album Parables for Wooden Ears. After performances at music festivals and appearances on several compilation albums,[2] Powderfinger released their second studio album, Double Allergic (1996). Following public recognition from the album's high-selling singles, Powderfinger went on to release Internationalist in 1998, which sold over 280,000 copies,[3] and reached platinum status five times.[4] In September 2000, Powderfinger released their fourth album, Odyssey Number Five, which has sold over 350,000 copies.[5] Two of the album's songs, "These Days"[6] and "My Kinda Scene"[7] were released on the soundtracks for Two Hands (1999), and Mission: Impossible II (2000).[8] Their fifth album, Vulture Street, was released in 2003, and has sold over 400,000 copies.[9]
In 2004, the group released a greatest hits album composed of songs from their early recording era, entitled Fingerprints: The Best of Powderfinger, 1994-2000. Weeks later, the group released their first live album, which was also released in DVD form. The group then assumed a hiatus to allow its members to pursue various side projects. After two years, the band returned from their hiatus and released their sixth studio album, Dream Days at the Hotel Existence.[10]

[edit] Music videos
The first eight of the group's videos were directed by award-winning music video director David Barker.[20] Following the time with Barker, Powderfinger collaborated with several production companies, and eventually developed a working relationship with Fifty Fifty Films in 1999, who have produced and directed their videos since.
