Potjie is the diminutive of Pot, ie small pot food.

I have never heard potjiekos pronounced "-kosh". S has the same pronunciation in afrikaans as it does in english. I am tempted to change the page but I might be wrong?

Against. I have been to dozens of braais, but have never had potjiekos or seen it served at any. Very limited similarities. Park3r 13:10, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
