[edit] Stub?
Would this article still be considered a stub? There's much more to be said, sure...but this seems like a good start.Nareek 03:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] To do to improve
I agree this is a good start. For cues, I think looking at the lengthy Ojibwa article would be good. Whatever that is said here, if applicable to either the Anishinaabe article or to the Council of Three Fires article, should be reflected there as well. So, what specifically to do to improve?
- pre-contact history
- history since contact
- known early contact bands
- known early modern bands
- contemporary bands — this part is done
- re-arrange article section to be a bit more smooth flowing
- improve the historical location information
- improve the contemporary location information
- social structure of the Potawatomi communities
- totem — done
- family
- traditional and major non-traditional faith systems
- effects of boarding schools
- Indian Removal Policy and its effect onto the Potawatomi communities
- language — sectional summary of the article exists but we need some example provided
- common contemporary issues all (or most) Potawatomi communities are facing
- a "See also" with links to:
- famous Potawatomi leaders and other famous Potawatomi
- places named after, named by or named with the Potawatomi
- treaties and law — start of this already exists
- better referencing
