Potters Gate is a Primary School in Farnham, Surrey, England providing education for children from age 4 to age 11. Children start in the reception class in the September following their fourth birthday. After a short induction period all children may be offered a full time place. However, if parents would like their child to be part time for the first term, this can be arranged. The school takes thirty children in the reception class. A further fifteen children may join the junior part of the school at the age of 7.

Potters Gate is a C of E church school, with links with the parish church of St Andrews. The church is visited to celebrate special times such as Christmas and the end of the school year. Members of the clergy and congregation visit to take part in school assemblies. An ethos that focuses on caring for children as individuals is central to the school's philosophy. When Ofsted inspected the school in March 2006 they wrote that “The school is a happy and secure place and pupils appreciate that they are safe and well cared for.” They also noted that “Pupils are mature, confident and polite. Their personal development and wellbeing are good”.

Potters Gate is located in the centre of the town of Farnham, enjoying a spacious site with a large field and playground. The well equipped classrooms all have an interactive whiteboard that works with the classroom computer to provide access to a wide range of digital learning resources. There is also have a separate music room, ICT suite, children’s kitchen and library. The self contained Reception classroom is a very large airy room with a covered outdoor area for curriculum activities. The town centre location makes frequent local educational visits possible. The school has good links with Surrey University College of Art and Design, located opposite the school, and with The Malting Arts Centre, enabling the children to extend their arts experience.

The children enjoy a range of sporting activities including badminton, football, netball, athletics, tag rugby and dance. At a recent dance and keep fit marathon they had the opportunity to try out fencing, karate and aerobics.

The popular Potters Gate Play centre provides after school care until 6.00pm for up to twenty four children each school day. A variety of after school clubs and activities are also offered. In April 2008 facilities for parents and children were extended with the opening of a Children’s Centre on the Potters Gate site.
