Potamia, Thasos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Potamia (Greek: Ποταμιά) is a village on the island of Thasos, Greece. It is built on the foot of Mount Ipsarion surrounded by pine forests. Moreover, it is only 3 km away from one of the best beaches in Greece (golden sands and golden beach) and it is home of Greek sculptor Polygnotos Vagis. Etymologically, the name of the village is derived from a stream that runs through it.
