Talk:Post-Protestant
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I realize that many readers will find this article objectionable, and I admit it has a definite POV. I encourage and would welcome someone "fixing" this, just so long as the explanatory section remains so that the issue of many Americans thinking that churches with words other than "Christian" in the name are unchristian (e.g., the absurdity of saying that Baptists or Catholics aren't Christian, yet, this misconception is very common!) is addressed, and hopefully clarified. I realize that there are doctrinal differences that lead most denominations into believing that they are the only true (or correct, or "saved") Christians, but theological differences aside, there are also many people, even among the irreligious, who honestly don't know or realize the historical Christianity of those denominations which do not have the word "Christian" on the sign in front of the church.Shanoman 15:06, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Also, This article fails to consider the meaning of "post-protestant" as it is used in the emerging church movement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.41.147.214 (talk) 06:02, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
