Positively Cleveland is the recently renamed Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Cleveland, Inc.
Positively Cleveland is a non-profit organization working diligently to bring conventions and tourism visitors to Cleveland, Ohio. Through the efforts of Positively Cleveland, 14.05 million convention and leisure visitors bring $4.53 billion into the local economy[1]. That makes the convention and tourism business one of the largest industries in Cuyahoga County. [2]
Positively Cleveland's offices are located in the Historic Higbee Building on downtown Cleveland's Public Square. A Visitor Information Center is also housed and operated within the building. The Historic Higbee Building was the filming location for scenes of the cult-classic holiday movie "A Christmas Story".
The staff of Positively Cleveland is responsible for marketing the city of Cleveland, and the Cleveland Plus region, to vacation travelers, business travelers, meeting planners and group travel planners. Additionally, the convention sales and services staff assists meeting planners with selecting meeting facilities, hotels for meeting attendees, unique venues and support services.
Positively Cleveland is a member organization, promoting over 600 members from the hospitality industry, including restaurants, transportation, hotels, events, attractions and entertainment. [3]
