Position may refer to:

• A location in a coordinate system, usually in two or more dimensions; the science of position and its generalizations is topology
• Body position (proprioception), the sense of the relative position of neighboring parts of the body
  • Human position, arrangement or posture of the human body
  • Ballet position, a set of defined positions for the feet in ballet
  • Sex position, arrangement of bodies during sexual intercourse
  • Yoga position

• Particular position in an organization, commonly identified by job title
• Positioning (marketing)
• Position (finance), the amount of a security, option or futures contract under control; or the collective arrangement of such positions

Sports and games

• Position (team sports): a team's arrangement on its field of play; a player's standardized location on the field or standardized role in teamwork
• Position (poker), a player's location at the table in relation to the dealer
• In chess, the arrangement of the pieces on the board at any move during the game
