Talk:Port Richmond, Staten Island
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Your Photo of the intersection...
is actually the intersection of Port Richmond Avenue and Richmond Terrace, not Richmond Avenue, which starts in Graniteville and runs out in the opposite direction, towards the Staten Island Mall and to the other side of the Island...
[edit] still a great place to live...
Port Richmond, with its cultural diversity, is still a thriving community and a great place to live...shopping (though not close to the Mall) is within walking distance and there are a variety of Parochial as well as Public schools (grade school and High School levels) that offer excellent education opportunities for our children...
the downside...its getting way too overcrowded, with developers building "stick" houses on every scrap of free land they can get their hands on...too many houses, too much traffic and not enough parking...
