Portbury is a village in North Somerset.

It is situated at the north-eastern end of the Gordano valley, near the Gordano services on the M5 motorway.

The parish church is dedicated to St. Mary, and there is also a former priory in the village, which gave its name to the Hundred of Portbury. There is a very nice local public house in Portbury. The Priory.

[edit] Transport

Portbury is well served by roads given the nearby M5 and A369 which links to Bristol and Portishead.

Part of Royal Portbury Dock is within the parish.

The local Clevedon Mercury and Portishead Times newspapers are delivered to residents free of charge usually by Saturday morning.
