Pool Shark (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pool Shark is an emotional song written by Brad Nowell, appearing on the Sublime album Robbin' the Hood. The song is a ballad to his battle with heroin and the tight grip it had on his life. "Now I've got the needle and I can shake but i can't breathe I take it away but I want more, and more one day I'm gonna lose the war". The song was performed by his band Sublime who created two popular versions; the original up tempo punk version, and a slower acoustic one. Brad would eventually die of his addiction, overdosing in May of 1996.
