[edit] creation dates

As well as adding a list of post-1885 MPs, I have just amended the creation dates for the constituency, because Rayment does not record the constituency as having been abolished in 1918 and recreated in 1950 (see diff: he records it as having uninterrupted existence in that period. Rayment is not infallible, so if anyone has another source, please cite! --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:13, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

See my more detailed text now added. From 1918 to 1950 it was a county constituency, which stretched as far as Goole; whether this should really be considered the same constituency is a bit questionable, but the name was the same. And it wasn't really abolished in 1974, it was entirely unaltered but the name was changed. Rgmmortimore 16:50, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
