Ponte la verde

Ponte la verde is/was a campaign by the Mexican television company Televisa. The phrase translates as "Put on the green," referring to the colour of the jerseys of the Mexican national soccer team.
The campaign started in September 2005 to encourage people to support the team in the 2006 World Cup in Germany (where they were eventually defeated after in the second round by Argentina), and to make Mexican people feel pride in their roots, origin and traditions.
