Matt Casselman, (Born March 2, 1993) is a self proclaimed political junky in the riding of Leeds-Grenville where he lives with his family. Matt has been involved with the Green Party of Canada along with the Green Party of Ontario since October 2005 volunteering for Erich Jacoby-Hawkins in the riding of Barrie in the 2006 Canadian federal election. Later moving to the riding of Leeds-Grenville where he met Green Party of Ontario leader Frank de Jong.

Casselman started involving himself with the Leeds-Grenville Greens where he was able to attract Jeanie Warnock to run as the candidate in the 2007 provincial election. Casselman was the campaign manager for the election where the Leeds-Grenville Greens were able to capture 7.14% placing ahead of NDP candidate Pauline Kuhlmann. This was a gain of 3.1% for the party in Leeds-Grenville over the last provincial election.

Casselman was elected to the Green Party of Canada federal council[1] in the summer of 2007 placing sixth in a field of twenty candidates fighting for eight positions. Casselman is the youngest person ever elected to the Green Party of Canada federal council.
