A modern replica was shown to be able to fire a round roughly every six seconds on The History Channel's 2006 series "Where Did it Come From?" episode "Weapons of Mass Destruction."

I'm not sure how to reference that properly.--Trevor Sinclair 05:33, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

There was a very similar modern replica demo on the (Discovery or Science) Channel on the program "What The Romans Did For Us". THE series for romanophiles. They showed a groove along the bolt delivery rod that dropped the bolt into the bolt channel just in time for the freshly pulled and cocked bowstring to release, firing the bolt. They figured their firing time was eleven bolts per minute. Fritz Wilhelm - 1:22 PM December 13th 2007. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.22.36.198 (talk) 21:21, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
