[edit] Type of Government
Is the Eritrean system of governance truly a republic? It would seem to me to not be a Presidential Republic because that requires that the legislature and executive branch be elected separately. As the election of the president is of the parliament by the parliament it would seem to me that it is a Parliamentary Democracy (at the very least in design if not practice).
