Talk:Polish passport
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is a number of countries in Africa, and Asia that give Polish citzens a right to obtain visas on arrival. Kenya, Tanzania, Nepal, Sri Lanka or Thailand are just a few. It would be interesting to mark these countries on the main map.

- The majority of those countries simply issue visas on arrival to all (or almost all) foreign visitors, so it doesn't have to do with the Polish passport but with general immigration policy of those countries. Therefore it is irrelevant for the subject of the article. --BotevFixer (talk) 11:11, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

- Note quite true. While some countries issue VOA to nearly all citizens (e.g. Nepal, Jordan, East Timor) many others restrict that privelege to a select few (Iran, Gulf States just to name a few) Passportguy (talk) 20:21, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Disagree based on a fact that other Wikipedia pages on passports of other countries (for example UK, or US) show on the map "visa on arrival" countries. It would be good to have the same standards for all "passport pages" for comparision. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.56.7.164 (talk) 08:41, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- I updated the map with VOA countries in light blue (visa-free are in dark blue) Passportguy (talk) 20:19, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have added some countries. Are you sure about Kuwait? I believe several years ago it was hardly possible to get any visa for that country if you didn't have a pre-arranged invitation. Also, it is worth checking whether Malawi issues visas on border. It would surprise me if they didn't. --BotevFixer (talk) 18:52, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

- Yes, Kuwait issues VOA (see [1]). Do you have an official source confirming that Lesotho issues visas at the border ? http://www.drakensberg-tourism.com/lesotho-tourism.html seems to indicate that they do not. Passportguy (talk) 11:29, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

- I believe I once read somewhere about Lesotho but I can't find it now, so I've removed the info. --BotevFixer (talk) 04:13, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Polishpassport inside.jpg
Image:Polishpassport inside.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
