Poly pocket

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Poly Pocket is used mainly to refer to document wallets. This is because 'Poly' derives from the term Polypropylene, the type of plastic used in making these transparent wallets. Poly pockets may be plain or punched to fit ring binders. The punchings are usually "universal" to fit American 3-ring binders or European 2-ring or 4-ring binders.

Poly pocket may also refer to other kinds of wallets made from the same material, such as a CD wallets.

Other names include: Slippery fish, Plastic wallet, Paper Slip.

The term should not be confused with Polly Pocket a proprietary range of playthings primarily aimed at children.
