Polona Hercog (born January 20, 1991 in Maribor) is a professional Slovenian tennis player. Her highest singles ranking yet has been World Number 221, which she achieved on May 26, 2008. Her highest doubles ranking has been World Number 165, a ranking she also reached on May 26, 2008, the same day she reached her highest singles ranking. The Slovenian is still competing in junior competition. Hercog reached the final of the 2008 İstanbul Cup doubles competition with New Zealand's Marina Erakovic, before they lost to Jill Craybas and Olga Govortsova, 6-1, 6-2.[1] Hercog has not won a title on the Women's Tennis Association, but she has been able to earn four singles titles and three doubles titles on the International Tennis Federation.
