Polish Left

The Polish Left (Polish: Polska Lewica) is a newly formed left-wing political party in Poland.
Formation of Polish Left was announced on September 20, 2007 by former Prime Minister Leszek Miller, who said the new party will be a "true leftist" alternative for coalition Left and Democrats. Miller and many members, who left main LiD party - Democratic Left Alliance (Miller was a head of DLA for many years) in protest to leaders policies, which they regarded as turned to the right.
Polish Left is said by many to could count for support of many LiD members, disagreed with their leaders.
Miller is a leader of newly formed Party. Other prominent members are former Secretary General of DLA Marek Dyduch and former Sejm Member Krzysztof Jagiełło.
